GWERU-Castle Lager Premier Soccer League debutants Sheasham FC aka Construction Boys are on mission to derail powerhouse Dynamos FC’s title hopes in tomorrow’s match at the National Sports Stadium.
The Construction boys go into this match with confidence following their drawn match against highly fancied former champions, Chicken Inn last weekend.
The Gweru-based side drew nil all against Chicken Inn, a decent start to life in the PSL last weekend.
And being the only undefeated team among the four that gained promotion, coach John Nyikadzino is brimming with confidence that they will floor Dembare tomorrow.
However, poor conversion rate appears to be their Achilles heel, having scored once in their four friendly matches that they played against premiership teams, Dynamos, Highlanders, Black Rhinos and Ngezi Platinum.
Speaking ahead of their clash against the Glamour Boys, Nyikadzimo says his is out to protect the club’s brand.
“Our encounter with Dynamos is crucial, it’s a learning curve to prepare us for the upcoming games after the Dynamos one.
“We are aware of Dynamos’ history and also considering the number of players they acquired to boost their squad. We know the mammoth task ahead of us, we are trying by all means to prepare and protect the brand Sheasham. We are a new kid on the block, we still have a lot of things to learn.
“We know it will not be an easy game” and “facing Dynamos is a learning curve that we will use in games that will come after Dynamos,” he said.
Nyikadzino said he is working towards strengthening the finishing side so that they can utilize all the chances that come their way.
Dynamos will also be hoping to continue their fine form after accounting for PSL returnees, Hwange FC last week at Babourfields Stadium in Bulawayo in a game that was marred by juju allegations.
They won the game 1-0 at courtesy of a late strike by Tinashe Makanda.
