SADC summit is over. Zimbabwe is now SADC chair. The Zimbabwean crisis must be brought to the SADC and International agenda in a vigorous and offensive manner.
Opposition political leaders, Churches, Civic Organization, War Veterans, Students, Women Organization and professional organization and business organizations must come together for diplomatic offensive mission .
The main agenda of the diplomatic mission must be the SADC Election Observation report. The citizens must organize themselves and congregate for a common cause.
An Indaba for change must be spearheaded by church organizations. A detailed position paper to take to SADC must be produced. The first port for call is the SADC chairperson Mr Mnangagwa.
All SADC heads of States must be visited and presented with the Indaba for Change resolutions. Whilst the delegation will be presenting the resolution to Head of State, Zimbabweans in the diaspora must demonstrate with placards. The placards message must resonate with the Indaba for Change resolutions.
AU key member States must be visited with both SADC and AU Election Observation reports. Head of States will definitely issue statements as journalists will be keen to know their reaction to Election Observation reports.
All democratic peace loving political parties in SADC must be called up to the demonstrations in their countries. This mission must be a diplomatic mission on political parties, Civic Organization , churches and various citizens of those countries to question and demand SADC to have teeth, transparency and uphold it’s organization’s demand of free, fair and credible elections in member States.
A well coordinated and inclusive diplomatic offensive mission will yield results not only for Zimbabwe but for the region. All SADC political leaders and Civic Organization leaders must be educated that a precedence has been set in Zimbabwe so there is nothing which can stop SADC to endorse a rigged election. All regional citizens must fight to stop this rot.
Zimbabwean Citizens must take the struggle regional.The liberation struggle was taken regional for it to be successful. Why can’t we take it regional today?
