ZVISHAVANE – Shabanie Mine FC “Chinda Boys” kept their winning streak intact and claimed bragging rights after edging “across the road” neighbours FC Platinum U19 in a fiercely contested derby encounter at Mandava Stadium.

Tillybutt Mtombeni scored the only goal of the match in 22nd minute to ensure Bvaru Bvaru collected maximum points in the  Ruvimbo Central Region Division One Soccer League Matchday 22 encounter.

Chunda Boys might have had a slow start to the season, and are already out of the championship, race, but the project, spearheaded by head coach Arnold Jani is begging to take shape. The team has been on a rampage picking points both home and away.

Shabanie Mine has so far played 22 matches. In those 22 matches, they managed to amass a total of 24 points from six wins, and six draws and have lost 10 times.

Coach Jani expressed satisfaction with the manner hit charges performed.

“The team played well. Beating across-town rivals is sweet music to all Chinda Boys supporters. We hope to continue doing well,” he said.
