GWERU-Zanu PF Gweru District Coordinating Committee spokesperson, Victor Maride has castigated the opposition CCC MPs for poor service delivery in their respective constituencies.

Maride made the remarks during the Media Instute of Southern Africa political parties panel engagement meeting on Monday, where the media and CSOs interfaced with Zanu PF Mkoba North candidate , Edgar Ncube representative Victor Maride.

This year’s by elections come on the backdrop of the High Court assisted ban of CCC former MP, Amos Chibaya following self styled secretary general, Sengezo Tshabangu applied for his removal from the ballot paper.

“Most Urban councillors and MPs, are not concerned about the welfare of ordinary people, as Zanu PF we have the people at heart.

“If we are to win, we will be always available to serve our constituency of Mkoba. We are happy that our aspiring candidate Edgar Ncube is a capable leader and is assured of victory.

“We have since issued an address through our candidate Edgar Ncube who has begun to walk the talk through the provision of mobile clinics in and around Mkoba as a way of assisting women and the elderly who cannot reach our health facilities, which are very far.

“We have since recommended other patients to the Angel of Hope Foundation led by First Lady, Amai Mnangagwa, we feel these referrals will go a long way in assisting those in dire need of health care.

“Having a candidate like him, we can’t settle for selfish candidates who don’t have the will of people at heart. So come the 3rd of February lets go and vote Zanu PF in office,” Maride said.

Maride also said, plans were in place to assist youths to get jobs.

” Ncube’s vision for the youth is outstanding, we need to get jobs for them, jobs are there and were already there, but youths don’t know the processes to get these jobs.

“We have our women EmpowerBank, we have our social welfare, we have ministry of youth, all of them are there for you,” he added.

Maride defended Zanu PF party over allegations of illegal selling of stands in Mkoba saying the move was corrupt and unknown to his party.

” If such reports exists then those are bogus and unruly elements who want to soil the name of the party. We can’t allow such things to happen.

” The only institution which is responsible for stands is council and registered land developers. We once flighted that advert to say we don’t allocate stands, so be aware,”  he added.
