He said several schools in the constituency are undergoing refurbishment.
“In Ward 19 (Chironde), two teachers’ houses are being constructed, while in Chitora (Ward 1), a creche and learning block are slated for construction this year.
“Additionally, Tumba Primary School will receive 200 bags of cement for the construction of a new classroom block, with the aim of transforming these schools into world-class learning centers,” he said.

“Plans are underway to build clinics at St. Peters, near Juchuta Secondary School, as well as between Dera and Matsa. Furthermore, a maternity clinic will be established in Zvarota.
“These efforts aim to improve healthcare facilities within the constituency, reducing the need for people to travel long distances in search of medical services,” said Mpasi, adding that he is planning to spearhead a cholera awareness campaign in collaboration with health stakeholders in the constituency.
Mpasi revealed a strong partnership with the Chinese investors to embark on market gardening projects.
“We have entered into partnership with the Chinese agro-firms investors to support gardening projects. Each ward will have a 10-hectare garden, supported by solar-powered boreholes for irrigation.
“These initiatives are designed to ensure year-round produce and enable communities to sustain themselves in the face of climate change-induced challenges,” said Mpasi.
