The second edition of the Carling Black Label DJ Clash is reaching its climax, with the ultimate champion set to be crowned next Friday in Harare.
After a nationwide search across eight regions and reviewing over 350 mixed tapes.
Twenty- five finalists namely Lindsay Valimahomed (DJ Lindsay), Joseph Ngonidzashe Isaac (DJ Joe), Tinashe Chinake (DJ Chainz), Thando Vincent Gotora (DJ ATL), Blessing Sawada (DJ Sawada), Matthew Mudenda (DJ Mateu), Spencer Chirinda (DJ Tino) and Nkazimulo Ncube (DJ Iyzee).
Emmanuel Ncube (DJ Emmza), Ephraim Nicky Ncube (DJ KayB), Lyton Dube (DJ Papito), Bothwell Nyamayaro (DJ Mafresh), Raymond Kore (King Urrah the DJ), Courage Gumbo (DJ Explicit), Nkosiyethu Ncube (DJ 007), Andrew Macheka (DJ Andreas) and Spencer DaCosta (DJ Spencer).
The list also include Wayne Manyemba (DJ Wanco), Elton Kampila (DJ Elaboy), Lindokuhle Dube (DJ Ndoza), Stephen Vembo (DJ Stavooh), Tinotenda Maphosa (DJ Bossa), Robert Pachawo (DJ Patch), Trust Siwela (DJ Redz) and Moses Ncata (DJ Nash).
They will clash in the capital city to showcase their skills and compete for the top prize.
Reigning champion Irvene Maponga (DJ Irvene X) will be defending his title against the new crop of talented DJs. The competition promises to be fierce, with each finalist eager to claim the coveted title and the accompanying cash prize of US$3 000. The first runner-up will receive a consolation of US$2 000.
The event will also feature guest artists from the Zim-dance Hall and Hip-Hop genres, adding to the excitement and energy of the clash. Tickets are available for sale at US$5, offering fans an opportunity to witness the best of Zimbabwe’s deck spinning talent.
