He noted that he was delivering the President Mnangagwa’s condolence and support, to ensure that the affected families were comforted.
One of the beneficiaries, Chengetai Mhuka from Mutare, expressed deep gratitude to the government for the funeral assistance.

“We are so thankful for this support in our time of pain. It has lessened our burden and we feel the government is walking with us,” he said.
Another beneficiary Mrs Mazuru from Nyanga said the same level of support should be extended to other citizens who face similar tragedies.
“What the President has done for us is commendable. We hope others who find themselves in such heartbreaking situations also get this kind of assistance,” she said.

Minister Chadzamira also took the opportunity to appeal to public transport drivers to always prioritise safety. He urged them to rest when tired and avoid risking passengers’ lives due to fatigue or negligence.
“We are losing lives everyday. Drivers must respect the rules of the road, take a rest when need be and understand the responsibility you carry on each trip,” he said.
