Three people have reportedly been struck by lightning in Mberengwa Central Constituency and died on the spot while three others are critical and were taken to Mberengwa Hospital.
The six were hit by the lightning bolt while in a shaft in the Vanguard area and the mine is said to be owned by a legislator according to sources who conveyed the sad news to The Midweek Watch.
The Midlands Province police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said he is contacting Mberengwa District and will share the information as soon as he gets the confirmation.
