Botha mine disaster victims named

BINDURA-The police has released the names of the Botha Mine disaster that collapsed on January 18 killing five people who were underground.

National Police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi.

These are; Leo Chapandama Maganyani of Village Masembura in Bindura, Zonani Nyani (21) of Church Road, Chipadze, Samson Madyira (20) of Waerera Village in Masembura, Jacob Madyira Nongwe (34) of Waerera Village and Matthew Madyira all of Bindura.

National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi urged the public against conducting mining activities at illegal shafts and disused mine sites as the current incessant rains have made the ground wet and prone to collapse.
