Armed robbers in US$4k Bulawayo bar heist

An armed robbery took place in Bulawayo on May 11, at around 10 am where three unidentified suspects stormed into a bar, located at the corner of 13th Avenue and R Mugabe Way and got away with US$4 300.

ZRP National Spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the robbery incident.

Nyathi told the press that the robbery began while staff members were counting the daily cash takings.

The suspects attacked the staff, holding them hostage before making off with a staggering $4,300 in cash.

The Police quickly responded to the incident, mobilizing relevant sections to the scene in record time, however, the suspects had already fled, leaving behind a trail of fear and uncertainty.

The ZRP has launched a manhunt for the robbers and is working round the clock to apprehend the suspects, anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the victims must immediately report to the nearest police station.
