GWERU – HEAR ME Zimbabwe season 4 musical contest will this Thursday roar to life at the prestigious Milan Family Restaurant, where 20 artists are lined up to perform.

The biggest musical competition which is run by Milan Family Restaurant will see the winner walking away with a prize money of US$2 000.

Eagles Nest will also be sponsoring contestants with accommodation to the musical competition which was born in 2022, to give a voice, promote and inspiring the upcoming musicians in Zimbabwe.

In an interview with The Midweek Watch, Millan Family Restaurant chief coordinator Faith Mazana said the competition provides a platform for the less privileged musicians to showcase their talents.

“The primary endeavour is to put the spotlight on the less fortunate and marginalized, thereby providing them with a platform to showcase their innate talents.

“The competition provides a great opportunity for aspiring musicians to showcase their talent and gain valuable exposure with the grand finale winner walking away with USD$2 000 in prize money,” she said.

She said besides music which is expected to keep the revellers on their feet, “the competition uplifts the spirits of individuals, communities and the nation at large”.

Mazana added that the musical contest is open to all genres and ages, and it will be divided into different categories; audition qualifiers, semi-finals and finals.

She said participants will be judged based on their voice, creativity, stage presence and overall impression.

Last year 25-year-old Keith Jamu from Bulawayo shrugged off other contestants and won the US$2 000 prize money.
