“Through Sensei Douglas’s expertise, Evans Kereke (Form 3) and Marvelous Yobe (Form 1) are doing well in their athletics and are seeking sponsorship to attend international competitions in Namibia and Algeria,” said the school sports director, Phainos Mugura.

“He has inspired our students positively in terms of fitness during his two sessions per week,” he added.

The Mid-week Watch confirmed that Sir Douglas has also extended his services to the community, where some individuals from the trading center attend aerobics and karate sessions for free.

The Director went on to say that Sir Douglas is a hardworking trainer, focused, committed, and has good attention skills.

“I offer these lessons in rural areas for exposure, kicking out the drug pandemic in the nation, after vigorous aerobics, school kids will not have time for drugs, and it also helps to fight other ailments like asthma.

“I’m appealing to the Ministry of Education to introduce some exercises in schools, especially for kids in special classes, to help them be like others,” said Sir Douglas.

Douglas also emphasized the need for recreational halls in rural areas to help people with disabilities and give them hope through aerobics classes.
