MASVINGO – Fast growing and arguably the biggest security company in Masvingo, Absolute Security Services’ managing director (MD), Thulani Sibanda has been named Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) National Annual Business Awards.
Sibanda was given the prestigious award at a ceremony held in Victoria Falls during the annual ZNCC business forum recently.
The veteran marksman was among business leaders from across the country recognised for their contribution to business growth, innovation and excellence.
The accolade comes as Sibanda continues to build a reputation as one of Masvingo’s emerging entrepreneurs, with strong recognition for service delivery excellence in the security sector, while also advancing innovation within his company.
Speaking to The Midweek Watch, Sibanda said the company’s continued success was anchored on quality service delivery and investment in modern technology.
“We always ensure that we respond quickly to emergencies and client call-outs. We attribute our success to the adoption of current electronic security technology and the continuous introduction of products such as alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, electric fencing, electric gate motors and access control systems,” he said.
Sibanda said the company had also invested in in-house training programmes designed to provide personalised services, while recruiting experienced former members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police, Zimbabwe National Army and Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service, among others.
The company provides manned guarding, electronic security systems, private investigations, VIP escort, alarm monitoring and rapid response services.
Sibanda also said continued investment in modern technology and skilled personnel had enabled the company to meet the evolving security needs of corporate and individual clients.
Meanwhile, during the Masvingo Branch business excellence celebrations, ZNCC Masvingo Branch chairperson Andrew Chekani also paid tribute to organisations and individuals from Masvingo Province who had received honours at the ZNCC National Annual Business Awards.
Absolute Security Services recently won the Gold Award in the Security Innovation and Responsiveness category at the MegaFest Business.
Sibanda’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year award adds to the growing recognition of his work in the private sector and his contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Masvingo and beyond.
