CHIVI-Godfrey Huruva Mukungunugwa, who is Chivi North legislator has lost his first born daughter, Praise Tariro Mukungunugwa.
Praise has been suffering from a kidney ailment for some time and her situation deteriorated this morning while she was attending a church conference in the Bushmead area on the outskirts of Masvingo City along Nemamwa road.
She was taken to Noraz Surgical Clinic where she was pronounced dead at 8am today.
She was 14.
Mourners are gathered at number 25 Richards Street in Rhodene, Masvingo City.
Praise will be laid to rest at her father’s homestead in Huruva Village under Chief Madamombe in Chivi on Tuesday.
“Yesterday when I visited the camp meeting venue I talked to her and we exchanged pleasantries before she took me half away as I left the place, I am so devastated by this loss of a young and promising life, it will take me time to really believe what has fallen upon us,” said Chiedza Huruva who is an aunt to the deceased.
“I gave her some sweets yesterday while at the camp meeting, but she came back three times demanding that I bring her more, I am in shock right now, its unbelievable, we just look up to the Lord for comfort and guidance,” said Kudakwashe Dzoro a nephew to the Huruva family.
Praise is survived by two siblings a boy and a girl, father and mother.
