A Zvishavane woman has been nabbed for allegedly killing a newly born baby and burying it in a shallow pit.
“ZRP reports that Betty Tagu (24) was arrested on 10/01/24 in connection with a case of infanticide which occurred at a house in Magaya Village, Chief Mazvihwa, Zvishavane.
The suspect allegedly wrapped a newly born baby girl with a towel and buried it in a shallow pit. he body of the infant was taken to Zvishavane District Hospital mortuary awaiting post mortem,” said the Police in a statement that is in our possession.
