GOKWE- ZRP Gokwe is appealing to members of the public who are missing a female relative to come and help identify the body of a woman believed to have been murdered in Gokwe in January.
The body was discovered floating in a sewer pond in Gokwe on 9 January 2024 at about 1800 hours.
Circumstance are that the body was discovered by a villager who was herding cattle and the case was covered by the media.
The body has not been identified and no one came to claim it.
“Those with a missing female relative of approximately 18 to 21 years of age may approach Zimbabwe Republic Police, Gokwe, for assistance,’ said the Police.
Midlands Police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko has forwarded the details to get in touch to retrieve the body.
“Detective Constable Madhongo of Criminal Investigations Department Gokwe is the investigating officer and is contactable on cellphone number 0774138934,” he said.
