ZVISHAVANE – Phillis Chityeza, a passenger aboard a Double T bus from Powerhouse in South Africa, tragically passed away in Zvishavane while she was on her way to Gweru.
A bus crew member based in South Africa confirmed the matter on condition of anonymity since he is not a family spokesperson.
Chityeza, accompanied by her daughter, had boarded the bus on September 13, destined for Gweru, however, fate had other plans.
Upon arrival at the Zvishavane rank, Chityeza suddenly fainted, quick-thinking bus workers rushed her to Zvishavane District Hospital, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her condition upon arrival.
Details surrounding the cause of Phillis’s death are still unclear.
The Double T bus company and hospital staff extended their condolences to Phillis’ family.
