WEDO to host business expo in Masvingo

MASVINGO – The Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) is set to celebrate International Women’s Day in style with a conference to discuss on critical issues on business, The Midweek Watch can reveal.

The conference is set to be held on 8 March, 2024 at Lees Inn Hotel in the leafy suburb of Rhodene running under the theme ‘Inspire Inclusion’ celebrating international women’s day.

Angeline Mikiri the Zimbabwean ambassador for WEDO, told The Midweek Watch that the Women’s Entrepreneurship Expo is a pivotal platform for fostering collaboration, innovation and economic growth among women entrepreneurs.

“This endeavour is designed to create a space for women entrepreneurs, investors and private sector representatives to network, learn and grow together”, said Mikiri.

“The Women’s Entrepreneurship Expo is not just a business event, it’s a celebration of women’s entrepreneurship and empowerment,” she added

Mikiri added that during the expo there is going to be some renowned experts who will be discussing crucial topics which include digital marketing, financing, e-commerce, financial literacy, procurement, green economy, agri-business, tourism and importance of putting women on corporate boards.

“The goal is to equip women entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge and strategies needed to succeed in the modern business landscape”, said Mikiri.

Mikiri said the prestigious conference was open to all women entrepreneurs whom she said must come in their numbers with a small investment of US$20 and a chance to showcase their products and services.
