Masvingo United’s resurgent form continues to impress, with the team dominating Mutare City 2-0 at Mucheke Stadium in a thrilling league encounter. The home side asserted their dominance from the onset, with Adam Tende breaking the deadlock in the first half. The visitors struggled to find their footing, failing to breach Masvingo United’s solid defense.

After the break, Alexander Nyamazana sealed the win with a stunning goal, sending the packed stadium into raptures. Mutare City pushed hard but couldn’t crack the Masvingo United defense, led by a cohesive midfield and rock-solid backline.

With this win, Masvingo United’s new executive, “Una Una,” boasts an impressive record of 4 wins, 1 draw, in 5 matches, with 2 games in hand. This dominance has sparked celebrations among fans, who believe the team’s resurgence is more than just a flash in the pan.

“We have worked tirelessly to rebuild the team, and it is  paying off, our  players have shown great character, and we are proud of the progress we have made,” said coach Faustino Mugeji.

Fans are equally ecstatic.

“Masvingo United is back, and they are here to stay,” said fan Tendai Machingauta.

“The atmosphere at Mucheke Stadium is electric, and we are loving every minute of it,” added fellow fan, Rumbidzai Muzondo.

The match also highlighted the economic benefits of football fixtures in Masvingo, with local vendors reporting brisk business. Ashbrook Hardware demonstrated its commitment to the community and local sport by sponsoring the Man of the Match Adam Tende award prize money.

“It is wonderful to see local businesses supporting our team,” said  Edwin Rafemoyo, the club’s treasurer
