Twins

Date:

Batsiranayi Ngugama.

I saw them!
Their mother struggling with them
She confessed the father elopped!
Passengers envied,
A boy and a girl
Or a girl and a boy!
They took turns ten times
Sucking the fallen breasts

The mother a hapless women
She said there were one
It confused me
Other passengers understood
Only five was needed to separate them
No one had that little amount!

God is miraculous
Those who solemnly need twins
Die without,
Just like Jesus came from an unexpected poor family
They struggle to raise them
Mismatching clothes
Die disadvantaged but adorable

I saw endurance in the mother
Twins are twins
Just like carrying twenty tonnes on your head
I wonder if she sleeps
The reason she was thin like matches stick
The conductor saw her grief
A conductor being a conductor
Help remains insignificant!

I wonder if the father has a heart
He deserted the hut
Leaving the twins
When others hunt for twins!
They fàiled to outpace each other
Came hand in hand!

My spirit went out!
If this is the situation across
Then twins are twins!
Mothers who rear them are kings
Becàuse twins bring with them alot
I saw them in the bus
Real twins!
