MILLICENT HUNGWE
Two young cousins, Evans Kwangwari (27) and Panashe Muganji (24), and their friend, Emmison Mangara (23), who died in a horror crash on May 7, are to be buried in Mashava and Chivi respectively.
The bereaved families have announced that the cousins will be laid to rest tomorrow at the community cemetery in Bere Township, Mashava.

In a separate ceremony, their friend, Emmison Mangara, who was driving the silver BMW, will be buried in Chivi District.
The three died when the BMW they were travelling in crashed into a Flo fuel tanker and was reduced to rubbles as it was speeding.
The accident happened near the Mandamabwe toll gate on Wednesday night.

ZRP Masvingo Province Spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said that the accident involved a silver BMW driven by Emmison Mangara (23), from Mashava with 2 passengers on board Evans Kwangwari (27) and Panashe Muganji (24), and a white Shackman truck towing an MD trailer driven by Brighton Mukanjari (42), from Bulawayo with two passengers on board.

Mukanjari’s truck was going to Masvingo and upon reaching the 51km peg, Mangara encroached into the haulage truck’s lane, resulting in a head-on collision, and the BMW vehicle was trapped underneath the truck.
The bodies were taken to Chivi District Hospital awaiting post-mortem examination.
Next of kin of the deceased were advised.
The second party did not have any injuries, but both vehicles had frontal damages as a result of the collision.
Inspector Dhewa urged drivers to exercise due care and attention on the road and must not overtake on blind spots.
