Khloe Katlego Mliswa, one of the many children of village head, outspoken controversial politician and businessman, Temba Mliswa, is slowly building her profile in the arts sector at a very tender age.

At just 8 years old, Khloe Katlego Mliswa has captivated audiences with her poetry, dance, and singing prowess. This multi-talented young performer is from Masvingo where her mother comes from as well.

Katlego not only inspires people with her artistic skills, but also encourages parents to discover and nurture their children’s talents.

Khloe’s journey as an artist began at the age of 3 years when she recited her first poem called “Kumberi Takamirirwa”at Mambo Guramatunhu’s book launch.

With the guidance of her mother, Tshisiwe Mafulela who teaches her poems and helps build her confidence on the stage, Khloe has blossomed into a polished performer.

Khloe’s parents believe in letting her explore her talents without limitations, which is allowing her to blossom in her chosen career.

Khloe’s talent and dedication to her craft have not gone unnoticed. During one of her performances at Masvingo Youth Arts, she caught the eye of Selmor Mtukudzi, the daughter of late national hero, Oliver Mtukudzi and a musician of note herself who was a guest at the Charles Austin Theatre event.

Impressed by Khloe’s poise and skill, Selmor invited her to join her on stage and she did not disappoint as she took on the veteran musician step for step.

The nimble footed young dancer kept the audience on the edge as she threatened to outshine Selmor on the night.

For Khloe, it was a dream come true, and a testament to the power of pursuing one’s passion.

This experience not only highlights Khloe’s remarkable talent, but also serves as a reminder that young artists can achieve great things when they’re given the opportunity to showcase their skills and connect with established professionals in their field.

For now her stage name is “mukakatira kwasviba” on Facebook.

“The sky is the limit for 8 year old multi talented performer,” said one of the parents who attended the show.

Recently she also performed at the Provincial Heroes Day celebrations and left the audience in awe as she received cash from the Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Ezra Chadzamira and many other people gathered at the prestigious event.
