In your Christian journey with God. You are guided by His principles. It is these principles that enable you to experience Heavens on this planet. These principles and ethics provide a road map that guides you in your journey to prosperity.
During this Christmas week, it is important that we share this heartfelt message concerning the significance of honoring and valuing our parents. This is a biblical and practical teaching on wisdom that will forever help to keep on reminding you about the central role that your parents play in your life, whether you are a Christian or not.
This Christmas, as we exchange gifts and celebrate, let us not forget this greatest gift God has given many of us—our parents. The Bible commands us in Exodus 20:12: “Honor your father and mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you”. This is not just a suggestion; it’s a divine instruction with a promise.
The Christmas holiday provides a unique opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices our parents make. Families need to go beyond material gifts. Time, gratitude, and acts of love often mean more than anything money can buy.
Our parents have poured so much into us—nurturing, guiding, and loving us through every season of life. This Christmas, let’s take a moment to truly value them. Spend time with them. Listen to their stories. Let them know how much they mean to you.
As you read this article, you probably have challenges emanating from sour relationships that you are facing with your parents. Create a platform for reconciliation and forgiveness. Christmas is a season of love, peace, and healing. If there’s distance between you and your parents, ask God for the strength and wisdom to rebuild those bridges. Life is short, and we are called to be instruments of God’s love.
Take your parents’ wisdom to heart. Honoring our parents is a lifelong act. Whether you’re a child, a teenager, or an adult, valuing your parents is a reflection of your walk with God. Let this Christmas be a turning point where you not only honor them with words but also with actions.
From today onwards, you need to understand that apart from the blessings that you receive from the Man of God, there is a parental blessing that is specifically received from your parents. As you enjoy your Christmas, prioritise your families. Vow to make your parents feel cherished and appreciated.
