-top Zanu PF leadership to grace the occasion

MASVINGO- In an exciting development for this year’s Youth Day President Mnangagwa will grace the youth day alongside his two Vice Presidents, Rtd Gen Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi.
The annual Youth Day celebrations will be held on Wednesday in Masvingo at Mushagashe Vocational Training Centre under the theme ‘Positioning Youth Empowerment and Development Towards Achieving Vision 2030’.
This was revealed by Zanu-PF director of information and publicity, Farai Marapira who said the president is set to deliver a key note address that highlights the importance of youth empowerment, education and civic participation.
He also said thousands of youths from across the country will be taken from all the corners of the country as this event is a national event.
“The preparations are going as planned and everything is in place for the historic day. This is a national event so, the youths will be ferried from all corners of the country and the budget is on the government.
“We are expecting the country’s top leadership to grace the occasion.
“The President’s involvement in Youth Day commemorations signifies a recognition of the critical role that young people play in shaping the future of the nation in line with this year’s theme.
“This event will also highlight the President’s efforts towards youth empowerment and spearheading of programs aimed at enhancing access to quality education, expanding vocational training opportunities and fostering entrepreneurship among young people.
“To the youth this is an opportunity to have an interface with the President. Therefore, I urge everyone from Masvingo and the nation to attend the celebrations which are held once a year,” said Marapira.
The national youth day was named after the late strongman President Robert Mugabe’s Birthday which fall on February 21.
