TelOne, Tongo drop points

MIDLANDS -ZIFA Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League log leaders, TelOne FC dropped crucial points for the first time in the second round of the season after registering a 1-1 draw against Chapungu FC.

However, the two points did not have a negative impact as second placed Tongogara dropped points on the road after 1-1 draw at Maglas Stadium against Shabanie Mine FC.

The results mean that the WiFi Boys still maintain a six point lead over the army men as TelOne lead with 40 points from 16 games while Tongo have 34 points.

TelOne this season said they only have one mission, which is to get promoted into the Castle Lagger Premier League and so far, they seem to be on the right track.

The chasing pack is led by ZPC Munyati FC who have 28 points after a 3-2 win over Bishopstone FC. FC Platinum U19 sit on position four with 27 points after a 2-1 defeat to Dulibadzimu FC.

Other results confirmed to The Midweek Watch by the CRSL’s acting vice chairperson, Thomas Marambanyika are; MSU FC beat Loss Control 2-0, Kwekwe United beat Amazon 1-0 while CM Academy beat Blanket Mine by the same score line.

TelOne play Dulibadzimu FC away while Tongogara play Loss Control FC this weekend.
