MIDLANDS – Gweru-based side TelOne FC is leaving no stone unturned in their quest to return to the country’s top flight league.

The Ruvimbo Funeral ZIFA Central Region Division One Soccer League is two matches away from coming to an end.

The Wifi Boys were this weekend awarded a 3-0 win after a walk over on Loss Control FC, and opened the gap between them and the second-place team to six points.

They now boast of 58 points, six ahead of second placed Tongogara who are on 52 points after the latter also clobbered Amazon FC 3-0.

With two rounds of fixtures remaining a drop of a point by Tongogara means TelOne FC will fast forward the coronation of TelOne FC. They will be kissing the topflight league for the second time after they got relegated in 2019.

Tongo has win all their remaining matches and wait for TelOne to fluff is they still entertain any hopes of getting promotion.

TelOne Fc made it clear that their target this year was to gain promotion into the Premier League after narrowly missing out to fellow Gweru-based Sheasham FC.

The club’s head coach, Tendai Chikuni is keeping cool despite the fate of gaining promotion seemingly seems undisputed but the army men are ready to put a fight for the title and the only spot to top flight football.
