St. Anthony shines at choral competitions

Masvingo- St. Anthony High emerged victorious at the Roman Catholic Masvingo Diocese-run schools choral competitions.

The prestigious choral competitions were held at Mukaro High School in Gutu last Saturday.

Fifteen schools from across the Diocese participated in the choral competitions with “Muzita Ratenzi Jesu” being the competition song.

St. Anthony High School’s choir delivered a stunning performance earning them the top spot while host school Mukaro High came second while Silveria High School clinched third position.

The choir conductors were also recognized and St. Anthony’s choir conductor was voted the best followed by Mukaro High School and Silveria High conductors in second and third place respectively.

St. Anthony High School head Joram Mawana expressed immense joy and pride over the choir’s achievement.

“I am very proud of the achievement and would like to extend my gratitude to the choir trainers, school staff and everyone who played a role in preparing for the competitions. This trophy is truly a result of hard work and dedication” he said.

 Parishes will be battling for the Bishop’s Trophy at Gokomere High School next Saturday.
