Silobela man stabbed to death

SILOBELA – A Silobela man died upon arrival at a local hospital after he was stabbed by assailants who are still at large at Zibomvu Business Centre in Silobela.

Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko conformed the incident to this publication.

Mahoko said on 1 December 2023 around 0130 hours, Ernest Moyo was drinking beer among other patrons at Zibomvu Business Centre, Silobela.

At around 0140 hours, the night club attendant witnessed Moyo running towards the night club and bolting out through the back door while being pursued by four men namely Learnmore Chiribani, Marshal Chuma, Marvellous Kuchicha and Archford Dube, all of Village 10 Chief Ntabeni, Silobela.

The men, who were armed with knives and machetes caught with Moyo behind the night club and stabbed him all over the body over an undisclosed issue.

It was when Moyo fell that the suspects fled the scene leaving him (Moyo) bleeding profusely.

At around 0200 hours a passerby found Moyo lying on the ground behind the night club and took him to ZRP Silobela.

 He sustained severe injuries and was referred to Silobela District Hospital where he died on admission.

Inspector Mahoko is appealing for information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts

“In this case, we appeal for information that can help us identify and arrest the men involved in the attack,” said Inspector Mahoko
