Silobela man knifed over girlfriend

SILOBELA- Police are investigating the murder of a man who died on admission at Nkayi Hospital after he was stabbed with an Okapi knife over a girlfriend.

 The matter occurred in Chief Malisa area, Silobela sometime early in March at around 1700 hours. 

 The now deceased, Narvel Ndlovu and the suspect in the matter, Nkosikhona Ncube (20) hail from Rungu Village under Chief Malisa, Silobela.

It is alleged, the two had a misunderstanding over a girl, and a scuffle generated into serious fist fight.

Nkosikhona Ncube drew a knife from his pocket and stabbed Ndlovu once on the neck. Ndlovu fell and became unconscious and Ncube ran away. Ndlovu was rushed to Nkayi Hospital where he died upon being admission. 

Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko is appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect.

“We urge members of the public to always solve disputes in a peaceful way other than resorting to violence.

“We are also calling for anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of Nkosikhona Ncube for murder to approach any nearest Police Station.” he said.
