-as Tongo hold on as title race heats up

MIDLANDS – The fight for the sole ticket into the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League in the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Division 1 Soccer League is heating up with Tongogara, Chapungu, Kwekwe United, Sheasham, Dulibadzimu and ZRP Gwanda all with a chance to scoop the position.
Chapungu were the biggest winners of the weekend after seeing off FC Wangu Mazodze City by two goals to nil which also saw Sheasham being handed a 1-0 shock defeat by Blanket Mine FC which has stalled their progress now.
Kwekwe United recorded a last minute goal to grab a 1-0 hard fought victory over Fc Platinum U19 squad to increase their chances of winning the title though it is still early days.
Tongogara saw off a stubborn Beitbridge FC side by a single goal meanwhile Black Eagles are still struggling after receiving a 2-0 walloping from Bishopstone FC.
