CENTRAL REGION -It was all smiles for those who performed during the Ruvimbo Funeral ZIFA Central Region Soccer League season as they went home with cash and other prizes at the awards ceremony.
The 2023 end of season CRSL glittering ceremony was held atNichrut Lodge in Shurugwi on Saturday.
The main man of the night was TelOne FC gunman, Blessing Sahondo who was named the 2023 season soccer star of the year which saw him receiving US$350 another US$150 for making it into the best 11 of the region.
Simon Shanga of Tongogara FC was named first runner up and walked away with US$250 on top of another US$150 for making it into the best 11.

Blessing Sibanda from TelOne FC as well was the top earner on the day as he was the second runner up and got US$200 on top of another US$200 for being the golden boot winner with 13 goals and another US$150 for making it into the best 11.
Other award winners were Cuthbert Zigwati who was named Referee of the season, Tongogara head coach, Calvin Maphosa was named coach of the season after registering only one defeat all season.
Prince Phiri was dubbed goalkeeper of the season and got US$200.
Previously the Region wasn’t holding awards as they had no sponsors but the advent of Ruvimbo Funeral Assurance Company has changed the dimension of the league as they poured US$75 000 for three seasons meaning each season there is US$25 000 to be shared by best performers and for smooth running of the league.
Ruvimbo Funeral Assurance Company was represented by Perfect Dhafete, the head of operations.
