ZVISHAVANE – ln a shock announcement to the sporting fraternity, FC Platinum Holdings have disbanded the Platinum Queens Netball team.
The Queens were the Premier Netball League Champions from last season however, the team is now history as their principal sponsor has announced a shocker.
The company dropped the bombshell on their Facebook page with reasons for closing the team still to be clearly revealed although speculation is that the tumbling world metal prices have affected platinum miner’s coffers.
The message read “Together, we have navigated challenges and rejoiced in triumphs, united in purpose. As we close this chapter on Platinum Queens, our dedication to advancing the empowerment of women in the realm of sports endures steadfastly. Your unwavering support acts as a guiding light, inspiring and fortifying us on this empowering path.

The team which was coached by Simbarashe Mlambo was a revelation to women sport in Zvishavane.
