MASVINGO – Felix Masunda (37) from Topora Business Centre under Chief Murinye died from a bottle cut last week Friday whilst he was having fun with his friends, The Midweek Watch can report.
Acting Masvingo police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Lorine Chanakira-Ndlovu said that on November 10 Masunda was having beer drinks at Makamachi Bottle Store and one of his friends Samuel Jeremani (22) entered the bar and got very excited and went on to hug him.
Upon hugging he then tried to lift him up whilst holding a Black Label bottle that he was drinking and they both fell down and the bottle broke into pieces and then cut him deeply on his neck and he started bleeding.
His friends rushed him to Mogenster Mission Hospital where he died upon admission.
Masunda’s body was taken to the mortuary for postmortem and investigations are still underway by Muchakata police.
