My mother

Date:

By Monalisa Kariyana

My mother, my pillar of strength

The strongest person I know

Ready to step into the unknown

Whenever trouble comes to the surface

My mother, my best teacher

Taught me how cruel life can be

But never to bow down on any difficulty

For I am a Queen, God fearing as I can be

My mother, my best friend

Bonded by an umbilical cord for nine months

Nurtured by love my whole life

We’re telepathic, read each other’s minds

My mother, my replica

So similar, you’re my mirror

I’ve learnt just by watching you everyday

Cliché but I adore  you mom

Heaven knows I am extremely grateful

You’re such a gem of a soul

To have as my mentor

And with that I say

Happy mother’s Day
