MBERENGWA-Although this is not Real Madrid vs Barcelona or Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund, but in local terms it is more than that as the game between bitter Mberengwa rivals, Great Dyke FC and Mbesa FC always produce blood and thunder.

The Midlands Province Division 2A league commences with a bang this weekend, with the local derby hogging the limelight as the must-see clash.

The match is to be played at Education Stadium in Mberengwa.

Great Dyke FC aka Serengeto Boys made their debut in the league last season and their opponents are the same they are facing on Sunday.

They won the match by a solitary goal from Alexander Hall who has since left the club, in the return leg they lost by the same result.

The bragging rights are on the cards as there is all to play for on Matchday 1 with no team wanting to start on a losing note.

Speaking to The Midweek Watch Great Dyke secretary general, Rockford Pikanegore said they are ready for the encounter.

“Our guys are ready and we don’t have any injuries, and it’s a must win. The Serengeto boys, Makhosini, Jatiwero, Lewis they are going to shine. Makhosini with a hat trick”, he said while oozing with confidence.
