HARARE-A HARARE woman yesterday dragged his boyfriend to court for protection order accusing him of attempting to poison her together with her children.
The issue was heard before Harare Magistrate, Dharon Mashavira who then granted the protection order to the complainant Alice Mujokondo against Abraham Chiondo her boyfriend.
The court heard that Alice Mujokondo suffered abuse at the hands of her boyfriend Chiondo who hurt and inflict pain on her and her children over petty issues.
“He comes home at midnight and starts beating me violently, recently he got home and broke all my property while violently waking up the kids.
“He physically and verbally abuses me in front of the kids and recently, when I filed for a protection order, he came home with poison intending to lace all the food. I had to escape through the window to seek for help from neighbours.
“I am grateful they responded and went to rescue my kids. Unfortunately, he ran away,” she said.
