Makumbe High School, a Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ) run school in Buhera District, has recorded 94.64% pass rate in the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council Ordinary Level exams.

School head, Taurai Rusekeni confirmed the results saying a total of 168 students sat for the exams, comprising 86 females and 82 males, the school’s impressive performance was capped by outstanding individual achievements, with Natalie Chineka emerging as the best female student posting an impressive 10As and 1B.
However, it was B-Raah Mashaishe who stole the show, achieving an incredible 11As and 1C to become the school’s top male student.
Rusekeni is beaming with pride as he attributed the school’s success to the hard work and dedication of the students, teachers, and parents.
“As a school, we have always emphasized the importance of academic excellence, and these results are a testament to our efforts,” said Rusekeni.
The school’s impressive performance was further underscored by the fact that 104 students achieved 5 or more subjects, including English and Mathematics. Additionally, 151 students passed English Language and above 5 subjects.
Rusekeni praised the students for their outstanding achievements.
“We are proud of each and every one of our students, who have worked tirelessly to achieve these impressive results, we are grateful for the support from our parents and the RCZ, who have been instrumental in our success,” he said.
