Kwekwe –The Police has confirmed a fatal hit and run traffic accident which occurred on August 20, 2024. The incident took place at around 8:30am near Indarama Mine.
Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said they are appealing for information regarding the identification of the now deceased.
“Police calls upon motorists to take responsibility in the event of an accident and calls for caution on the country roads.
“We therefore appeal to anyone with information or who believes they may know the identity of the deceased to contact Police or visit Kwekwe General Hospital.” Mahoko said.
The body of an unidentified male adult was discovered by a passer-by along an unnamed dust road leading from Indarama Mine to Mbudzi Compound.
The deceased was found lying in a pool of blood with severe head and facial injuries, with visible tyre marks on his body. He was wearing a yellow t-shirt, blue sneakers, a woolen hat, and grey pants with white and grey stripes.
