The man who was reported missing on March 15 had his remains exhumed on March 17 in a bush near Farm 34 in Middle Sabi,Manicaland police spokesperson Assistant Inspector, Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed.

It is alleged that, on March 10 the now deceased Nicolas Muyambo(33) of Muumbe Village  went to Farm 34 seeking for employment.

Upon arrival he met the two suspects, Daniel Sithole and Cleanous Utete from Farm 34 who accused him of stealing maize in the fields.

They force marched Muyambo to a nearby bush and assaulted him with sticks all over the body.

After the incident Muyambo went missing and the matter came to light through his brother Shingai Muyambo on March 15 who was informed by his brother in law, Edward Maputunura who then reported for a missing person at Middle Sabi police station.

On the 17th, Utete invited Listen Chikoo (33) who works on the same farm to his house and narrated how he had killed Muyambo with Utete and also how they had placed his body parts in a sack and buried him in a shallow grave.

Listen made a recording of the conversation and informed Passmore Muumbe (32) of Farm 28 who accompanied him for a search around the farm.

They found hipped soil in the bush and informed the police who recovered the body which was at an advanced stage of decomposition.

The police are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Sithole and Utete who are at large since the day they confessed to committing the crime.
