MUTARE- John Mapara(31) was manhandled by 4 unknown men at Windsor Nightclub in Dangamvura area 14 high after he gave Prisca Zenzo a cigarette to smoke.
Manicaland Police acting spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Wiseman Nyoka told The Midweek Watch that Mapara drinking beer at Windsor Nightclub when he was approached by Prisca asking for a cigarette and suddenly four men took him behind the bar and beat him with an iron bar several times without saying a word and left him for dead.
John Mapara was later found by a
passersby who informed Irvine Dinemarira who then rushed him to Victoria Chitepo Hospital and reported the matter to the police.
The deceased had sustained a deep cut above the left eye, had bruises on the back of the neck and had a severe spinal code injury which led to his death.
The police are appealing for anyone with the information about Mapara’s relatives to come forward.
The police are also encouraging people not not to use violence when resolving differences.
