“These initiatives aim to minimize the negative impact of human activities on the environment while fostering economic development,” she added.
The Midweek Watch confirmed that eco-innovation initiatives driving green growth refer to the development and implementation of new technologies, products, and services that reduce environmental degradation and promote sustainable economic growth.
The exhibition highlighted the Agency’s technology used to monitor air and water pollution, demonstrating its commitment to environmental protection.
Additionally, the event shed light on Zimbabwe’s preparations for the 15th Conference of Contracting Parties to the Convention on Wetlands (COP15), scheduled for July 2025 in Victoria Falls
The Minister was particularly impressed by the virtual reality experience, which allowed him to explore Zimbabwe’s seven Ramsar sites.
Later, the Agency’s stand was visited by the Mashonaland East Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Itayi Ndudzo, who commended its investment in technology for environmental monitoring.
“This investment enables informed decision-making and promotes sustainable industrialization,” he said.
