Dr Matsikidze now holder of PhD Law

One of the sharpest brains in the law fraternity, Dr Rodgers Matsikidze has graduated with a PhD in Law from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg in South Africa.

Dr Matsikidze is one of very few individuals who graduated with a PhD in Law in Zimbabwe and the whole continent majoring in civil procedure.

Dr Rodgers Matsikidze who is a Senior Partner at Matlaw (Matsikidze Attorneys-at-Law a law firm with 23 employees) is a registered legal practitioner, labour and business consultant, notary public and conveyancer.

He holds an LLB (Hons) and Mphil (Law) from the University of Zimbabwe.

He holds a Ph.D. Law from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg in South Africa.

He is also the Director of the Access to Justice Centre, Law Lecturer & Deputy Dean of Law at the University of Zimbabwe.

Dr Matsikidze is a Board Chairperson-Harare Employment Council, Masvingo Mirror Newspaper Board, Chairman-Council for Legal Education-Administration and Human Resources Committee & National Blood Service Zimbabwe.

 He is also a Law Examiner with the Estate Agents Council and Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe (REIZ).

Dr Matsikidze is also a Councillor-Council for Legal Education. He is a member of the Judicial Service Commission Rules Committee, the Community Working Group board, and the University of Zimbabwe Quality Assurance & Research and Innovation Committee.

Dr Rodgers is the past chairperson-Board of Examiners-Council for Legal Education, UZ Procedural law department, and Law Society of Zimbabwe Compensation Fund. He is a winner of multiple awards-friends of Media-NJAMA awards, Quality and Excellence Award-Switzerland, Board Chairperson of the Year-IODZ, Board Chairperson of the Year-Non-Profit-Making Institutions-IOCDZ and has authored several articles and books in commercial, labour, medical, ADR, and procedural law among others.
