MASVINGO-Popular Masvingo City veteran master of ceremonies, David Masomere aka DJ Masomere’s stock continues to rise by the day.
On Valentine’s Day he headlined the star studded celebrations at the majestic Great Zimbabwe Hotel where the who is who of Masvingo attended including the Zimbabwe Medical Association president, Dr Kudzai Masinire.

The Valentine’s celebrations were attended by over 20 couples who enjoyed the night with soothing music and special healthy well cooked dinner coupled with jokes from the evergreen DJ Masomere who was throwing a joke from time to time for the food to go down well.
DJ Masomere told The Midweek Watch that the event was a special one and one not to miss as he did not only provide entertainment, he also took the opportunity to teach, counsel and advise the couples on issues of marriage which are very dear to his heart.
“This valentine dinner was one of a kind as we blended pleasure with serious counseling for couples and fun games to release the work pressure associated with the beginning of the year,” said the ever smiling DJ, politician and businessman, all rolled into one.
“The most important days in a woman’s life is her birthday and the marriage anniversary, those should never be forgotten.
“Learn to surprise your life partner on those two important days with anything depending on our financial capabilities, never stress yourself in order to please your couple, but do the best that you can. Avoid peer pressure at all cost because that may land you in serious financial trouble.
“Do not have a payslip that is always with the creditors just because you want to please your partner, do the little that you can and she will appreciate it, if it’s done in good faith,” said DJ Masomere who was the MC at all the 10 star rallies by President Mnangagwa as he sought reelection in August last year.
Masomere went on to say that, despite him being a celebrity the person he respects most in his life is his wife, who is his best friend and urged other couples to emulate that.
“I might change my car, underwear, house and clothes but I will not change my wife because, she is the person that I respect most, because I love and cherish her efforts in my life,” said DJ Masomere.
Dr Masinire and his wife won the best dressed couple at the event and Shaky Matake came first in the ‘know your partner’ game and both couples got vouchers to go to Elephant Hills Hotel in Victoria Falls for a holiday.
