MIDLANDS-Sheasham FC aka Construction Boys will be in a battle of their lives today when they come face to face against current log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab Stadium in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter.
The Gweru-based side is doing all it can to survive the dreaded chop in their first season in the top-flight league.
The Construction Boys come into this must-win encounter sitting on position 13, with 34 points.
However, they are facing a wounded Ngezi Platinum Stars who were defeated 1-0 away at Hwange but still maintain a seven-point gap over Dynamos, Manica Diamonds and FC Platinum at the summit of the table.
A win will see them inch closer to being crowned champions which will be their first in the league, however, they are facing an in-form Sheasham who have a different agenda altogether, survival.
Sheasham FC chairperson Reginald Chidavanyika reiterated that it will be a tough match.
“It will be a tough game but we will have to play our part,” he said.
