Complement performance with goals-Mapeza

-as Ngezi are crowned 2023 champions

SPORTS REPORTER

ZVISHAVANE – FC Platinum head coach, Norman Muchina Wemajuzi Mapeza has said that good performance in the field of play amount to nothing without scoring goals.

He revealed this after his side failed to find the back of the net in a nil-all draw against Dynamos at Mandava Stadium on Wednesday in an encounter that saw the two teams surrender the title to Ngezi Platinum Stars.

The draw was coupled by Ngezi beating new boys Sheasham Fc 2-1 to sit on top of the table with 60 points from 31 games played.

Manica Diamonds are now second after their 1-0 win over Simba Bhora with 53 points from as many matches.

MaPlatso and DeMbare are tied at 51 points from as many matches. Going into the weekend, Ngezi Platinum needs a single point to seal the fate.

Norman Mapeza’s side had the bulk of the possession especially in the second half after Paga was sent off but failed to utilise the numerical advantage.

“The guys played well. We had some moments we were in control of the game and we need to compliment performance with goals” he said.

FC Platinum missed the services of their star man, Walter Musona, with the rumour saying he is not on talking terms with the Muchina Wemajuzi after the gaffer reprimanded him for betting.

The reigning soccer star is believed to be on his way to the 2023 champions, Madamburo who promised him a better package.
