CHATSWORTH-A woman who had come all the way from Hurungwe to worship with others was runover by a bus which developed breaks failure at AFM Rufaro Conference Centre in Chatsworth, Gutu.
Tsitsi Hazel Tadiwa (36) of Madzimoyo Primary School in Hurungwe, Mashonaland West Province was runover by an Iriza Scania bus being driven by Victor Manhuhwa after it developed breaks failure while getting a safe parking place at the conference center.
Masvingo Province Community Liaison and Public Relations officer, Assistant Inspector, Lorine Ndlovu confirmed the unfortunate incident that happened on April 13 during the annual conference at Rufaro.
The driver was alone in the bus when the accident occurred and the woman was walking across the conference centre yard when it hit her as it failed to stop due to breaks failure.
Tadiwa sustained head injuries and died on the spot, her body was taken to Gutu Mission Hospital for a postmortem while the bus was taken to Gutu ZRP traffic.
