BUHERA- Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed the arrest of Moven Mutero (25) in connection with a case of murder which occurred in Mutero Village under Chief Nyashanu in Buhera on 24 January, 2024, The Midweek Watch has learned.
According to police, Clemence Muchizii(26) died after the accused stabbed the victim indiscriminately all over the body with a kitchen knife following a misunderstanding over an undisclosed issue.
Mutero was apprehended by a mob in the community.
Meanwhile, in a related case, police in Buhera is investigating a case of murder which occurred at a homestead in Chiweshe Village under Chief Nyashanu on 24 January, 2024.
Bvurayi Chizema (75) died after three unidentified male suspects assaulted the victim with machetes and left him for dead before proceeding to the bedroom where they attacked the second victim and stole US$273.
The police are appealing to anyone with information to report at any nearest police station.
