MASVINGO – Zanu Pf National Political Commissar, Mike Bimha told journalists that his party is prepared for the by-elections that are slated for 9th December and they are going to win resoundingly.
“We called for this press conference so that we tell you how much we are prepared for the by-elections because we are more than ready for these elections and we are going to win”, said Bimha.
“We have deployed campaigning teams in all the constituencies and wards where by-elections are being held and all affiliates within the party are campaigning making sure that we win”.
Bimha also stated that they are going to hold an urgent meeting in Harare where provincial chairpersons across the country will be invited to map the way forward.
“We are calling for an urgent meeting on Friday (8 December) with all provincial chairpersons across the country so that we map the way forward on the preparations for by-elections that are slated for this coming Saturday and next year in February. The Minister of Defense and War Veterans and Zanu PF’s national chairperson Oppah Muchinguri will chair the meeting.”.
Bimha appealed to all the members of their party to come out in their numbers and exercise their right to vote for their party so that they win resoundingly.
There will be a by election in Masvingongo ward 2 following the recalling by self appointed CCC interim secretary general of Shantiel Chiwara who made history as the first female Mayor for the ancient city.
Chiwara will contest against Benson Hwata, Roki Kamuzondo and Frank Chirairo.
