The social media scene has been abuzz with noise coming from the generality of the public in relation to tenderprenuers following leaked audio conversations purported to be from Wicknell.
Although there have been desperate efforts to disown this audio, all odds have gone against the controversial businessmen.
Moses Mpofu and Mike Chimombe his business partners have been nabbed in what some journalists have named the ‘8 million Goatgate Scandal.’ Once arraigned before the courts for ‘what was called a botched Gwanda Electricity Project and exonerated, I guess my fellow congregant is just unlucky. In my home area, Kana Uchirira unototsvakirwa zvimwe zvekukusvibisa, maybe he is just a victim of circumstances.

But if it is true, I bet the goats could be a rare breed owing to their prize. How can goats pay such a ridiculous amount? Whether seven or eight million is a very ridiculous prize for the four-legged caprines.
The Euro and Copa America football showdowns came to a close this past week, with Spain and Argentina taking the silverware, respectively. What made the two continental football showcases intriguing was the presence of two of football’s greatest players, Ronaldo and Messi.

Ronaldo was plying his trade on the European safari, representing Portugal while Messi was wearing Argentina colours in the Copa America finals. Ronaldo had a barren run, leaving many questioning if he still deserved the GOAT tag.
If the results of these competitions are anything to go by, then it means Ronaldo has been beaten to it. This puts to rest the long dispute that has been between football fans over who is best between him and his counterpart.
The ‘Messiless’ Argentine has hogged the limelight once again after being part of the team that went to the finals. Although he had trouble finding the back of the net through the better part of these competitions, his last efforts have been recognized and appreciated by all football lovers. True to the tag, Messi proved he is a real goat.
My friend, irked by Ronaldo’s display at the Euro, remarked, ‘Messi is a GOAT, and Ronaldo a goat.’ That reminds me of Winky D vs. Jah Prayzah fans, not to mention the Mark Ngwazi vs. Macheso fans as they battle for their singers’ GOAT tag.
My friend John Mubikwa would stand by the gaffer, while Russy Manhondo would go to a fist fight to defend Ngwazi. Time will tell who the real GOAT is.
The month of the gods in African traditional religion August is on the doorstep. Families gather during this era to partake in various ceremonies and rituals. Christians despise this month, believing it to be a time when evil spirits are at their most powerful.
It is the month of the battle of the gods, usually characterized by mysterious illnesses and even death. May your god or God be with you as we sail through August. It’s all about your faith and nothing else. Its just a view.
