MASVINGO – Zimbabwean music star Jah Prayzah, born Mukudzeyi Mukombe, is set to headline The Jah Experience at Masvingo Caravan Park on August 15, with organisers promising fans an energetic live performance backed by 3G The Band.

The show is expected to attract music lovers from across Masvingo and surrounding areas, with preparations at the venue reportedly progressing well.

In an interview with the Midweek Watch, Jah Prayzah’s manager, Keen Mushapaidze, said the response from fans had been encouraging, although he could not disclose the number of tickets sold.

“The response has been very encouraging. Unfortunately, I cannot disclose the actual ticket numbers at this stage, but the level of interest has been strong and we are confident the turnout will be very good,” Mushapaidze said.

He said fans should expect a high-energy performance, while some elements of the show would remain a surprise.

“A Jah Prayzah performance is always designed to be memorable. Fans can expect a full, energetic live experience with 3G The Band. The best way to enjoy what we have prepared is simply to be there on the night. We prefer to keep a few things as surprises,” continued Mushapaidze mentioning that they are closely working with the relevant security teams to ensure proper crowd management, access control and a safe environment so that everyone can enjoy the experience comfortably.

Mushapaidze also revealed that Jah Prayzah had several projects in the pipeline, although details would be announced through the musician’s official platforms with Masvingo remaining an important destination for the iconic musician because of the strong relationship he had built with fans in the province.

“Masvingo has always been very good to us. We have had some memorable shows there over the years, and the connection with the fans has always been special. Our schedule does not always allow us to return as often as we would like, so whenever we get an opportunity like this, we make sure we create an experience that is worth the wait.

“There is quite a lot in the pipeline, and we will be announcing everything in due course. I would encourage fans to keep following our official platforms because there are some exciting updates coming,” he said.

The excitement is already being felt among fans, with Kudakwashe Muza saying the chilly weather would not dampen his anticipation.

“Despite the weather conditions seemingly being cold, nothing can stop me from feeling the Jah Prayzah experience,” Muza said.

Meanwhile, Caravan Park proprietor Garikai Garande said preparations at the venue were over.

“Everything is in order. It will just be a show where people have the Jah experience, nothing much outside that,” Garande said.

He assured fans that all types beers will be in abundance and very cold. Gari added that there will be maximum security for cars and people and provision for those who may require bonfire are being put in place.

Physical tickets are already on sale in Masvingo and Beitbridge. In Masvingo, fans can purchase tickets at Booties Pharmacy and San Siro Bar & Grill, while those in Beitbridge can get tickets at Pagomba Café.

With the August 15 show fast approaching, fans are being encouraged to secure their tickets early as anticipation continues to build around what organisers are billing as the Jah Experience.
